Harper and Georgia Hogg

Harper Charlmer Hogg, son of Samuel and Ellen Hogg was born June 30, 1921, in Utica, Pennsylvania.

Georgia Bell Neeley was born January 8, 1925, also in Utica, Pennsylvania.

Harper and Georgia were married on August 11, 1942. They attended Jefferson Christian Church in Upland, Indiana. Georgia was valedictorian of the 1942 graduating class of Franklin High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Sears in Meadville, PA for years, and for 23 years for Morehead Electric Company in Marion, Indiana.

Harper was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. During World War II, he joined the Army Air Corps and served as an airplane mechanic, stationed in Florida from 1942 to 1944. After he left the service, Harper worked for the Pennsylvania-Erie Railroad for 17 years and was a self-employed logger. He also was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Harper and Georgia owned Hogg's Grocery Store. Harper then worked as a machinist for 20 years in Upland, Indiana.

Harper died of a heart attack on December 12,1993 in Upland, Grant County, Indiana. Georgia died of cancer died July 29, 1991 in Marian, Indiana. They are both buried in the Jefferson Cemetery, Upland, Grant County, Indiana

Harper and Georgia had two sons:

Harper Charlmer Hogg, Jr.Born September 9, 1944 in Pennsylvania, and died Sept 9, 1960 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at the Pittsburgh Children Hospital. He is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Hannahville, Venango County, Pennsylvania.
Samuel Jackson HoggBorn March 28, 1946 in Pennsylvania, and died July 28, 1955 in Meadville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania. He is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery, Hannahville, Venango County, Pennsylvania.
