Vernon Dean Nims, Jr. was born in Seattle, WA in 1964. Vernon joined the Army in 1984, and was discharged in 1991, after serving in the Gulf War.

Vernon married Rhonda R. Raines in 1988, and they have two children:

Lena Nicole NimsBorn in 1990
Nathan Cristopher NimsBorn in 1995

Vernon and Rhonda currently live in Hope, Arkansas, where they have lived since 2000.
