Otis and Sarah VanDyke

Otis James VanDyke, son of Robert and Rebecca VanDyke, was born on August 12, 1855.

Sarah Rebecca Hogg, daughter of Robert and Mary Hogg, was born March 20, 1856.

Otis and Sarah, known to their nieces and nephews as Aunt Sade and Uncle Ote, married on April 8, 1873 and had 5 children:

Mary Viola VanDykeBorn in 1878. Married John Giles(sp?) June 4, 1901.
James Clare VanDykeBorn May 28, 1881.
Murrel Agnes VanDykeBorn March 15, 1887. Married Franklin Bernardt on November 16, 1929.
Gladys Eloy VanDykeBorn June 4, 1894. Married John Herman Wright on December 21, 1924.
