These obituaries for Nutters in the Gibbon area were sent to me by Steve Baker, great grandson of John and Jenny Nutter. Though I don't have enough information on these people to warrant individual webpages for them, I have included them here in the hope that others may be able to provide more information on them and their families.

NUTTER, Elva Rae, 88, of Gibbon died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at Good Samaritan Center in Gibbon Memorial services: Thursday at Godberson Mortuary in Gibbon Burial: later Born Dec. 14, 1915, on a farm near Gibbon Parents: Mirabeau and Lizzie (Hogg) Nutter Survivors include: sister, Janet Nutter of Redmond, Wash. Kearney Hub, 10 February, 2004

NUTTER, Norden G., 80, of Gibbon died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at the Nebraska Veterans Home in Grand Island Services were Monday, Gibbon Baptist Church Burial: Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon Mortuary: Apfel in Grand Island Born Oct. 1, 1926, in rural Shelton Parents: Lyman and Lorena (Wynn) Nutter Married: July 8, 1977, to Ruth Campbell. She preceded him in death Survivors include his brother, James of Shelton; four stepchildren; stepgrandchildren; and stepgreat-grandchildren Kearney Hub, 20 March, 2007

NUTTER, Ramona E., 90, of Gibbon died Thursday, April 14, 2005, at Wood River Good Samaritan Center Memorial services: Tuesday, Godberson Mortuary in Gibbon Burial: Gibbon Riverside Cemetery Born Oct. 5, 1914, in Kearney Parents: Frank and Mattie (Voss) Major Married: Aug. 27, 1940, to Donovan Nutter. He died in 1989 Survivors include: sons, Steven and Van, both of Abilene, Texas, and Craig of Gibbon; daughter, Theda Potter of Westerville, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren Kearney Hub, 15 April, 2005

NUTTER, Ruth, 77, of Gibbon died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Good Samaritan Center in Gibbon Services: Monday, Gibbon Baptist Church Burial: Gibbon Riverside Cemetery. Mortuary: Godberson of Gibbon Born Sept. 22, 1927, in Elsie Parents: John and Ida (Lizer) Krovas Married: to Wayne Campbell in North Platte; later divorced Married: July 8, 1977, to Norden Nutter on the family farm northeast of Gibbon Survivors include: husband; sons, Jack Campbell of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Lee Campbell of Ardmore, Okla.; daughters, Peggy Craig of Lawton, Okla. and Geraldine Payne of Beatrice; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren Kearney Hub, 18 November, 2004

NUTTER, Van Donovan, 58, of Merkel, Texas, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, in a single-vehicle accident near Merkel Memorial services: Thursday, Sep 13, at Riverside Cemetery in Gibbon, Neb. Mortuaries: Girdner Funeral Home in Abilene; O'Brien Straatmann Redinger-Miller Godberson Gibbon Born March 7, 1954, in Kearney, Neb. Parents: Donovan and Ramona (Major) Nutter Survivors include three children with Kathleen Frederick of Kearney: Aaron Nutter of Kearney, Dustin Nutter of Lincoln, Neb., and Courtney Wilhelm of Gibbon; two daughters-in-law, five granddaughters, three grandsons, two brothers and a sister Was the last of six children in his family Military: U.S. Navy, 1972-1976; obtained his associate's degree from Central Community College in Grand Island, 1984; re-enlisted in 1986, served eight more years, five of which were at sea on the USS Philippine Sea; was a highly decorated electronics specialist and traveled extensively within the States and abroad Eventually settled in Texas, worked with AT&T until the time of his death Was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Kearney Hub, 8 September, 2012
