Charlotte Mielsch, daughter of Reinhold and Selma (Ulber) Mielsch, was born December 28, 1919, also in Kauder.

Gotthard and Charlotte married in 1939. They had one daughter:

Siegrun Maidorn Born in 1940 in Kauder. Siegrun married Andreas Leistikow and they had 7 children.
