Gordon Krist Leistiko, son of Krist and Beatrice (Heinrichson) Leistiko, was born December 1, 1938, in New Deal, Montana. New Deal was one of 5 boom towns (no longer there) created by Pres. Roosevelt for the Ft. Peck Dam project. Gord's dad and mom were the first couple married in Ft. Peck and Gord's dad worked the dam and their wheat farm. After his father's death, the family moved to Kalispell. Gord joined the Navy in 1956 and spent 10 years on active duty and 14 years in the reserve. He retired from Liberty Supply in 1998.

Gordon was an avid salmon and steelhead fisherman. He and his wife Marna (Ohlund) spent many happy times at their cabin on Point Lawrence, Orcas Island.

Gordon and Marna had 2 children.

LeAnne Leistiko LeAnne married Bob Vacca, and lives in Lake Tapps, Washington with their 2 children, Sophia and Isabella.

Gordon passed away March 24, 2005, in Bellingham, Washington. His memorial service was held at the Squalicum Boathouse, Zuanich Pt. Park, Bellingham, WA. Gord was buried in the Greenacres Moles Cemetary, in Ferndale, WA.
