Gerald "Jerry" Franklin Behrmann was born on April 15, 1932 in Mesa, Arizona.
Jerry died January 24, 2016. His obituary speaks of a family man, a hard working man who
contributed much to his community and was much loved by his family.

Gerald Franklin Behrmann
Jerry was born at home in Mesa, AZ April 15, 1932. He graduated
from Tempe High School in 1951. He then joined the Marine Corps where he
served two years in Hawaii and eight months as drill instructor in San Diego.
ln 1954 he married Gayla Leistiko in the Mesa Temple. They raised
their five children in Scottsdale, AZ: Debbie, Joyce, Doris, Duane and Eric.
They lived in Scottsdale until he retired in 1997 and moved to Cottonwood.
When they got married Jerry was working for Pratt's Feed and Supply
until they moved to Montana for two years. ln 1964 they returned to Arizona
where he began working for Motorola as a shift supervisor for production
equipment maintenance, systems analysis and international support.
In 1976 he joined National Gypsum's Production Engineering group
as electrical construction manager. He retired in 1997 after working there for
2l years. He traveled a great deal for his employment, both overseas and
domestic.
Upon retiring he completed his home in Cottonwood, built a garage, and made many
unique landscaping improvements . All through the years his
talents were shown in building radio controlled airplanes and wood working.
He's remodeled kitchens, built games for the kids, designed furniture, crafts,
highchairs, quilt stands, and always helped cub scouts, church projects and
friends.
He loved his nine grandchildren and enjoyed making things for them
and "keeping them out of his chair." They all benefited from his wood
working skills and received many creative gifts.
Jerry has always had the desire to do what is right for his family. His
kids all recognize that he taught them to work. He has also helped nephews
find jobs where they have been well trained with his work ethic and electrical
knowledge.
He was a unique and special man who was loved by all.
